Noisy Heat Pumps
I recently installed a Sanden Heat Pump to a residential premises and thought I would share how quiet it runs. Some heat pumps are noisy and will annoy not only your neighbours but if installed incorrectly will annoy the you as well .
How loud is a heat pump?
A noisy heat pump is around 55 decibels (55dB) – Inside a library is around 45dB.
The Sanden Heat Pump featured in the video is 38dB, which is just above whisper. It won’t annoy your neighbours or disturb you if located near your bedroom window.
In the Youtube video below you can hear how quiet the Sanden Heat Pump unit is and see what it looks like. This is the short tank version with a 315L capacity, suitable for 3-5 people.
